Family Fun Night at School

Thomas had Family Fun Night at his 3K last night. He was so excited to show us his classroom with all the toys (yes, there are still cars and trucks there), his artwork, the library, art and music room, and the chapel. He also ate pizza and popcorn, which may have been his first time - we think (may have to confirm that with the grandparents, though).
This is the art that was hanging on the back of his chair! Other kids said they had dolls or pets or toys - it melted this mom's heart to see that my sweet boy said "little sister"! I was so excited to know that he is thinking of her at school, too! He spent the past few days telling her about all the things he wanted to show her at his school. It is amazing!!

New PJs and Giggles in Lily's Room

Thomas was so excited when our weather turned cool this week. Why? Because he could wear his new BLUE car AND truck pajamas! I am so glad it doesn't take much to make this little guy smile. They had so much fun pretending to sleep on the floor, reading books, and laughing together before bed the other night. I love when they play like this!

Pigtails!!!!

I am over the moon about this! I have been dreaming of this day for so long now....I always marvel at all our cute little friends with funky hairstyles, and we are finally getting there! Lily seemed to like them, too. Mom and Dad, she sure looks like me now, huh? Love it!

Gorgeous Weather Day

The weather was so amazing after church on Sunday that we headed straight to the backyard for some play time and picture taking.




The kids apparently enjoyed the weather a lot, too, because they definitely wanted to play more than they cared to sit nicely for a picture.


They had a blast on the playset....notice how much Lily didn't want to go inside for lunch? Love her pouty little lips, though, so I couldn't resist documenting it.

Do you Knowshon? Thomas Does!

Thomas was so excited when we came home from Athens with a Knowshon jersey for him! He has worn it to school, every Saturday, and to a USC/Clemson birthday party. He told everyone in Florence that the Gamecocks were going to get Knowshon'd two weeks ago, too. (Not sure where he came up with that one...certainly not from his dad!)
Last weekend, we let him stay up for the first quarter of the Arizona State game. He was so proud, and wanted to do everything Jeremy did. Notice that his cup is on the floor right beside the gameday Steverino's mug? Don't worry, his was only water. He begged to put his jersey back on over his pajamas while he watched. Then, he drank everytime Jeremy did, set his cup down at the same time, sat the way Jeremy did, and made sure to cheer for every play that Jeremy did. It was so amazing to see this sweet little guy beam at the idea of staying up late to watch Georgia Bulldog football with his Dad!

Clifford!! Woof Woof!

Thomas knew that there was going to be a surprise at Barnes & Noble storytime, but he didn't know what. So....he sat quietly, then decided to cover his ears just in case the surprise was something loud! He does this quite often, and it cracks us up. Lily immediately started barking when the big red dog rounded the corner. Then, she kept going up to give "pat-pats" and pointing out Clifford's eyes. Thomas enjoyed petting Clifford, too, especially when his friends did. Lily also had to check and see what book "Luuuu" (or Luke, as we know him) was reading.

Tumble Time at the YMCA

Lily is fearless!! Thomas is getting more and more brave, too! They amaze me with their excitement and their gumption.

Day to Day Wonderful World

I love our day to day life here in our home. It is great to capture their sweet faces doing what they love around the house.






Thomas loved when we finally made truck cakes and decorated them. I loved his sweet little hands trying to put the grill on the front of the truck perfectly.






Lily thought she was so funny carrying my purse on her shoulder and talking on one of the cell phones Grandma and Grandpa retired for them.



Lily loves her new Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, and wants me to say "Tank Tou" to Luke and Faith!

Wii Monster Trucks

I'm not sure which part Thomas enjoyed more...choosing which vehicle to drive and painting it blue or actually driving them! Aren't these the best looking guys you know?!

Bubbles and Toes

Lily and I had some time alone the other day, and thought bubbles were a great idea. Lily loves them! She ran around saying, "Bubbles! Bubbles!". Then she squatted down to look at some on the carpet and remembered that she had "Toes! Toes!" She loves to show everyone her toes and shoes these days. She also gets upset if you have your shoes or socks on in the house and she can't see your toes.

Sleeping Babies

I just love these pictures! Lily fights sleep in the car sometimes. Apparently a baby, a bear, and Snoopy can help you rest better!

When I went to check on the kids Tuesday night, this is what I found. I love that Thomas was "frogged up", as we call it, while sleeping in his frog pajamas.


Lily looks so big here! Notice her boo-boos on her knees? She points them out at least five times a day lately. She ran too hard in the driveway a few times.

How Do You Eat Your Lo Mein?

Davis taught Thomas a new way of eating lo mein in Augusta lately. Davis just ate like this was how everyone shoveled, um...I mean, ate their food. Thomas, however, thought it was both amazing and hilarious. I love this guy and his deep giggle with a dimple!

Living Nativity and Christmas at the Zoo

Last Christmas season was amazing! It fills my heart to look back at all the great things the four of us experienced together for the first time as our complete family. First, we went to the living Nativity at First Presbyterian. Thomas was so sweet and amazed by the music, the animals, and the baby Jesus in the manger. At one point, we thought Luke and Thomas were doing chest compressions on him because they were checking him out so intently. We definitely plan to do this again this year. I can only imagine what busy Lily will think of all of it. She will probably try to pick up "baby" and give him her sippy cup.



One of our other favorite Christmas outings is a visit to Riverbanks Zoo to see the lights, a few animals, and roast marshmallows. This was our second year, and it was so cold! I love looking at the pictures of my sweet boy all bundled up with his REI hat, camo gloves (he picked them out himself), and his warm blanket from Megan and Marlys. (He had to make sure he could see the embroidered fire truck when he was in his stroller) Lily was there, but we kept her in her carrier for the most part to try to keep her warm.


I have to say that I am so excited about fall and winter coming. It is always such a busy, wonderful time for us.
