Hilton Head Vacation

We went to Hilton Head for a week with Dad, Bailey, Kim, Stan, Trace, Davis, Melissa, and her son, Gauge. We were so spoiled! Our house was on the beach - with a pool. The kids were in heaven. Other favorites about Hilton Head Island for Thomas and Lily...traffic circles, Coligny Plaza (Thomas was ecstatic to discover it was Hilton Head's downtown - and had a toy store!), boogie boarding, sand toys, cousin time, and all things vacation!

Dad showed up with a giant inflatable turtle and dog one day. The kids were wild about them! Lily just had to help carry the dog down to the water.

They giggled incessantly....
Here is what it looked like after dinner most nights...lots of sleepy people...the kids were a little tired, too...
Dad took each kid one by one to choose a stuffed animal at Crazy Crab. Lily chose "Miss Manta" and Thomas chose "Dolphy" the dolphin. I just cannot admit that it is time to retire this outfit. I love it too much!

Melissa bought each child a kite. Lily's went so high that I could barely fit her and the kite in a picture. I was literally lying on the ground! She amazes me with her capabilities. Thomas looks impressed, too, huh?

Thomas did a great job, too. He had his kite out on a very windy day! His little arms were tired.
Miss Priss playing putt-putt. Notice the crooked sunglasses? She put them on top of her bow ;)
Our little lefty...
Waiting for fireworks at Shelter Cove...notice the covered ears? Fireworks were a good twenty minutes from starting.
"I'm going to take a nap, Mommy"

Lily's version of boogey boarding...
Look at my big, big boy!! He squealed and cackled like crazy!
Spin! Spin! Spin!
The first day, Thomas didn't even want to get in the water....there was way too much sand for driving trucks.
Little D taking a break from the water.

/>Pancakes...

If you are ever in Hilton Head, you must eat breakfast at Stack's...have the creme brulee french toast. Mmmmm!

Bye-bye, beach house! :(
Check out this crazy storm one night....
It was hard to tell the kids from the adults some days.
His new favorite pasttime...
"Oh no! I need some water!"

Driving the truck to the water....all the way...
Playing at the edge of the water
Uh-oh! Flood!
Guess she got tired of pushing the truck all the way back to the soft sand, so my muscle girl just picked it up and carried it! This is how Lily passed the time while Jeremy and Thomas were boogey boarding one day.

Thank you for a wonderful week, Dad!! Thank you, Grandaddy!!
