After an amazing summer, the kids started back to school on Wednesday. They were so excited, even if Thomas did not enjoy waking up so incredibly early. We had Lily put her backpack on for the picture even though her school didn't start until 11:30 a.m. She eagerly obliged, but was not too happy when we told her to leave it at home. Sweet little thing could not understand why Thomas was going to school at 7:40, but she didn't go until later. All she knew was that they were starting on the same day. She quickly recovered, and was happy to take Thomas to his class.
We have always taken school pictures in the doorway to the garage. It hit me that the first picture we have of Thomas like this, his head didn't really reach the window! Time is passing way too quickly.

Both kids got new backpacks this year. Thomas' actually came free with some Lego toys at Toys R Us, and he was so excited to use it instead of his "plain red and gray one". Lily loves her new one we surprised her with since "it has pink and purple and fish!"
Getting a little nervous.....
After we took Thomas to school, Lily and I did some fundraiser things at school then headed home for lunch. I forgot how strange it is to feed my kids lunch at 10:45 a.m. After lunch, Jeremy came home to take Lily to school with me. Since it wasn't 7 a.m., we had more time to take some pictures.
