We went to Atlanta for Walker's 4th birthday party at the beginning of the month. We all had Friday to play together since Kelli and Robbie were off work and Kelli's mom was in town. So, instead of driving downtown to the Atlanta Zoo, we decided to go to the Yellow River Game Ranch that Robbie suggested. Thankfully, he forewarned us that it was a little more small-time than a regular zoo. But, the kids loved it so much! The only thing Jeremy and I missed were the pandas.
Why did we call it redneck? Here's a clue....
The deer, ducks, geese, and even squirrels walk right up to you and eat your Saltines out of your hand!
Lily wasn't so sure about it, so she just threw the crackers at the animals in an attempt to convince them to keep their distance.
Then, she eventually decided she would rather just keep the crackers and eat them herself.
The sheep were crazy! They practically jumped over the fence trying to get to the boys for food.
I just love how excited these boys got about everything! Walker especially found the ducks and chickens hilarious!
