One of my first outings with the stay-at-home mom's group was to the Darlington International Raceway and Museum. Thomas was so incredibly excited to see the real Hudson Hornet (from the Cars movie) and all the other race cars. One was even wrecked, which was amazing to him! Then, he got to climb all the stairs to the top of the stands. Not only did he get to see the race track, but it was under construction! What a little boys dream come true to see a race track and construction trucks all at once! He also enjoyed pushing Lily around outside in her stroller. She thought it was hilarious, too!
For my birthday, Jeremy and Thomas took me to the Barnum & Bailey circus in Florence. Thomas was so excited to go, especially once he got his light-up clown nose. He was so proud to buy me some cotton candy for my birthday gift, too, because it was the only thing I told him I wanted. (It came with the great hat that he is wearing in the picture.) He was pretty unsure of everything at first, especially since we got to walk around on the floor and meet some of the performers before the show started. He warmed up after a while - I think the elephants were his favorite! It was a great birthday to see his first circus experience.
