Day 5 - HHI

Not a lot of pictures from Wednesday, but it was a blast! We spent the day at the beach, then had dinner at The Crazy Crab.
Hilton Head imposes a $500 fine for taking sand dollars from the ocean now. Sounds pretty steep to me, but the perks of people actually following the rules now have resulted in TONS of sand dollars in the water! We found so many that we were able to show the kids. Of course, they loved the ones with tiny crabs on them the best. We also found at least five starfish and I am convinced I felt a stingray graze my foot. It was so much fun! Then Dad thought he stepped on a piece of coral, but quickly realized he was wrong....this is what he pulled up.....

It had fishing line wrapped around its body, bait in its mouth, and was dead. Walker kept it in a bucket of water to show the kids that had not made it down from the house, yet. He was devastated when Robbie and Kelli told him he had to put it back in the water so his parents could tell him goodbye. Thankfully, we did not meet the parents!

Some people further down the beach that happen to be from Augusta found this.....

Wowzers!

Pirate ship #3

Cooper fell asleep in the boat, so we made him a shady spot to sleep.

Some serious silly band action

Silly girl with her shades

It was so gorgeous that evening! I love Hilton Head!!

This tree was massive! Walker is fearless, by the way. Davis got in the tree, too, but those pictures are blurry. Plus, I felt badly posting his terrified face.
