Day 6 - HHI

A couple of days before we left for Hilton Head, I was looking for places to see fireworks on the 4th of July, when I stumbled upon Pirates of Hilton Head. Perfect for Thomas! We gathered some cousins and headed to Harbour Town for a quick lunch and a surprise adventure! The kids were very excited!! It was crazy hot with only a little breeze, but still tons of fun. We saw lots of dolphins right by the boat, which was fun for the adults while the kids were busy saving the treasure from Stinky Pete. Each kid got a pirate name, tattoo, and vest. Then, we added eye patches and swords.

Arg!

All hands on deck...

Thomas was chosen to help raise the flag!

Pirate grog aka sweet tea....Gauge chugged his, then said it was gross. I think they are in trouble when he gets to college! So are we...Lily asked for seconds.

A hot, tired Gap Tooth taking a breather with her daddy

Stinky Pete. He stole the key to the treasure, so the kids had to shoot him with the water cannons while screaming, "Give us back the key, Stinky Pete." The captain told the adults that Stinky Pete skipped out on the bar tab, so he was awarded the privilege of having salt water sprayed at him for ten minutes.

Trying to make sense of the treasure map.

They found the treasure chest!

Booty!

She LOVES her brother!

Ice cream treats to cool off in Coligny Plaza. Can't you just hear her saying "Cheeeeese?" I love the sunglasses on her head.
