The Park

We have a relatively new park in town. One Saturday in early June, we headed over to check it out. It is an amazing park with great equipment, but I don't think we will return until the fall. There is NO shade, and we were roasting on top of all the rubber mulch. So...we left there and went to a Red Cross benefit at the brew pub with Paola and her kids. It turned out to be just as much fun for the kids. We sat at a table in the shade and listened to the live music while the kids played horseshoes, soccer, and played in the hammock. They even saw a helicopter land in the field nearby. We were all a bit amazed to see the men get out and walk over to the restaurant for a quick bite.
